The ReBELLion Handbell Ensemble is an auditioned, community ensemble dedicated to excellence in performance. ReBELLion presents concerts throughout the metropolitan St. Louis area and in the past performed in Cape Girardeau and in St. Charles for the Area 8, Handbell Musicians of America, Missouri River Ring Festival. Dolan Bayless, Director of Traditional Music and Worship at Kirkwood United Methodist Church, is the founding conductor of the ensemble. ReBELLion held the inaugural auditions in August and September of 2009. Performances include Christmas Concerts and spring concerts based upon various themes.
ReBELLion rings on 5 1/2 octaves of Schulmerich Handbells, a duplicate set of two octaves of Schulmerich handbells, and 5 octaves of Malmark Choirchimes®.
